What is the purpose of the subscription? I already have a Zoom subscription. So would the camera work with my Zoom account if I just buy the camera?
Kaptivo makes three versions of our popular whiteboard camera. The hardware is the same, the firmware changes slightly.
There are two standalone models (Kaptivo Enterprise and Kaptivo Business) and one subscription based model.
This last model, the Kaptivo Wall Mount camera sold bundled with Kaptivo Subscription, is "Kaptivo for Zoom Rooms" and "Kaptivo for Work-from-Home".
Subscription models allow for native API integration to your Zoom Room Computer.
Zoom Rooms is a specifc application for Conference Rooms which is different from the normal Zoom desktop meeting app that a user would have.
If you are an end user, and want to share your whiteboard into your Zoom meeting using your normal desktop client, you would buy a Kaptivo work-from-home or Kaptivo standalone model. Then you would access the Kaptivo via web browser and share your browser in the meeting.
If you are an IT person deploying Zoom in conference rooms (Zoom Rooms) you would purchase a Kaptivo wall mount camera and a Kaptivo subscription (basic, business or enterprise level) to enable native integration over the network.
